The location in the middle of Crete made it easy for trips to all parts of this large beautiful island. Host was present when needed and always helpful and clear with information, sugggestions and instructions. A beautiful sunset view from the veranda, the living room and the bedrooms. The private beach was very much appreciated, especially at a popular destination like Crete where the beaches can be very crowded. Appliances (including AC in each room) were top quality and mini appliances were practical and convenient. Lots of hot water in the shower as well, which is not that common in Greece. There is a well maintained enormous pool on a large deck with a beautiful view of Heraklion and its bay. This same deck has the community's restaurant (Thyreas), where we had excellent meals or nice sunset cocktails. We visited Ligaria beach and Agia Pelagia beach which were minutes away, whenever we wanted a little more action at the beach. Both had lovely waterfront restaurants and bars, which we enjoyed as well.

Roads in Crete aren't great, so it wasn't the easiest to get onto the highway, but this seems to be the case wherever you are on the island.

Location and the area is good, easy to access west and east destinations. Its deal breaker is the fact the territory is closed and no stranger people are walking around. However the unit itself needs more attention, it’s used and leaves some questions of the price quality aspect.

Cleanness and level of basic maintenance.

Great private beach and pool in the community. Lovely views.
