Bárbara hat uns persönlich, sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen und die sehr persönlich eingerichtete Wohnung gezeigt. Ich konnte spanisch, sie portugiesisch und bei Fragen haben uns die Handys beim Übersetzen geholfen. Das war gar kein Problem. :) Der Garten ist sehr gemütlich und wir haben es geliebt morgens direkt vor der Wohnungstür zu frühstücken! :)) Auch hat sie uns eigene Quittenmarmelade geschenkt und unseren Tisch so bereichert. (Obrigada! :)) Die Küche ist besser ausgestattet als in den meisten Ferienwohnungen, die wir zuvor gebucht hatten. Es gibt 2 vom Wohnzimmer abgehende Schlafzimmer, eine Küche, einen Zwischenraum zum Bad und das Bad selbst. Unser Auto konnten wir direkt auf dem Grundstück neben dem Haus parken. Alles in allem haben wir Barbara und ihren kleinen Hund auf unserer Reise sehr ins Herz geschlossen und wären gern noch länger bei ihr und in der Nähe des Fisherman Trails mit seiner atemberaubenden Natur und der Ruhe der Gegend geblieben! :)

Uns hat es nicht gestört, aber wir waren zu viert unterwegs und eins der Betten war etwas kürzer als gewohnt und eher für Personen bis max. 1,70m geeignet. Ansonsten haben wir aber alle richtig gut geschlafen und konnten uns sehr gut erholen bei Bárbara. :)

A sr. Bárbara muito querida ! Deixou nos umas bolachinhas e marmelada feita por ela no check-in. Casa com 2 quartos , estacionamento dentro da casa , espaço do exterior simpático para fazer refeições , casa equipada com tudo o que precisam .

Demasiada decoração!

The house is located in a small, super quiet village, with a wonderfully wild garden and the option to park inside the property. The house is well equipped and has a lovely, chilled, almost romantic terrace — basically everything I was looking for! :) Apart from the issues mentioned below, the property itself was perfect. The location, the atmosphere, the garden, and the terrace made it a lovely place to stay. 👌

Unfortunately, there is always a BUT. I booked very last minute, but I was still given the option to choose my check-in time. I arrived within the official check-in window, but unfortunately, nobody was there. I tried to get in touch, but the only response I initially received was from Booking.com. About 30 minutes later, Barbara’s son contacted me via WhatsApp and explained that Barbara’s car had broken down. Luckily, I was able to access the apartment using the password. I also found some used towels, which might have been related to the unexpected car situation. What really made me uncomfortable, though, was discovering a camera on the terrace. A day later, I noticed a second camera recording inside the living room. Having cameras in these areas raised serious privacy concerns for me. I turned the indoor camera to face the other direction, but the thought that my first 24 hours in the apartment may have been recorded was definitely not a nice feeling.
