Boutique nature, it was an oasis after sightseeing all day. The staff were exceptional, went above and beyond to help and did it with charm and attention

What I liked * An interesting location in an emerging, post-industrial neighbourhood, surrounded by restaurants, cafés, wine bars and nightlife. Plenty of attended parking options nearby, too. * Absolutely stunning design throughout. Our room was unique, beautiful and comfortable, while the restaurant and pool area felt like an oasis within the urban surroundings. * Exceptionally warm, helpful staff and excellent communication via WhatsApp. They handled everything from tiny requests to bigger arrangements, and seemed like a genuinely close-knit team. * Very good, thoughtfully prepared food with a strong local identity. Outstanding, interesting breakfasts showcasing Greek products — although I did occasionally miss classics such as eggs Benedict or bacon. * A good wine list, with room to become more adventurous and extensive. * Excellent cleanliness and lovely shower products.

What I didn’t like * Too much reliance on a phone for everyday things, including room access, curtains and lighting. When staying somewhere like this, I want to disconnect. Having a physical key or card and straightforward controls alongside the digital options would make the experience more comfortable. * The curtain mechanism stopped working through both the phone and the remote. This level of automation needs to be extremely reliable to justify replacing simpler controls. * The projector was a lovely idea, with a very convenient streaming system, but the picture quality was disappointing. * The minibar felt underwhelming compared with the care put into everything else. Tea and coffee were provided, but a more thoughtful selection of snacks, soft drinks and local products would have been very welcome.
