Het is een prachtig plekje, mooi onderhouden groene tuin. Het ligt ook heel rustig in een piepklein dorpje. Er is een zwembadje, waar we niet in gezwommen hebben, maar wat er goed uitzag. Daarnaast is er een hottub, die alle gasten mogen gebruiken. Dat was heel fijn. Het ontbijtgebouwtje ziet er ook prachtig uit en het ontbijt was lekker en heel uitgebreid. Er is een mogelijkheid om er 's avonds te eten, wanneer je dat uiterlijk 's morgens aangeeft. Dat is heel prettig, want in de directe omgeving zijn niet veel mogelijkheden om te eten. Met de auto ben je overigens zo in het volgende dorpje, waar wel meerdere restaurantjes zijn. Helder en de staff waren uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Toen mijn partner niet lekker was (er was op het eiland een NORO-epidemie), heeft Helder speciale kruidenthee voor hem gemaakt en de volgende dag was het leed alweer geleden. Dezelfde remedie had ook gewerkt bij één van de kinderen van andere gasten. Er is ruim voldoende parkeergelegenheid voor alle gasten. We zouden er graag nog eens verblijven.

Na 3 dagen krijg je schone handdoeken, maar omdat alles zo vochtig is, is dat eigenlijk een beetje lang. Het zou slimmer zijn om ze iets vaker te wassen, nu roken ze eigenlijk de eerste dag al een beetje muf en ik denk dat dat te voorkomen is. Het 4G netwerk is heel matig in Caloura, waarschijnlijk omdat het een beetje afgelegen ligt, maar helaas is de WIFI ook niet zo sterk, vaak konden we helemaal geen contact krijgen met het internet. Op zich heerlijk om even helemaal off-grid te zijn, behalve wanneer je uitstapjes wilt plannen of zo. Dus doe dat vooral van tevoren en/of download een offline routekaart.

Casa Caloura is located in central part of the island with very good connection to all touristic attractions.

Was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt such a warm, peaceful, and incredibly cozy atmosphere that allowed us to completely rest, recharge, and disconnect from everyday stress. The hotel feels like a place created with genuine love,every corner is thoughtfully designed, full of soul, beauty, and care. There is such a calm, family-like energy that instantly makes you feel at home. I stayed here with my mother, and what touched us most was the kindness of the entire team. Every single day, the staff welcomed us with warm smiles, always there to help, give recommendations, and make us feel cared for. The hospitality here is truly exceptional and deeply heartfelt. The breakfast was delicious, we absolutely enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi, and the nights felt magical ,surrounded by nature, it honestly felt like being in a dream-like jungle. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special. We will absolutely come back, and I highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for peace, privacy, and a soulful retreat on the island especially if you want to stay close to the beach while still being centrally located. Gostamos de tudo, o alojamento fica localizado numa zona muito boa da ilha de São Miguel e central, a Caloura é das zonas mais interessantes para se ficar nesta ilha 🏝️, local sossegado e muito tranquilo e privado, aqui encontra a privacidade que deseja, o anfitrião é uma pessoa incrível e foi um prazer conhecer ele e trocar umas ideias, o pequeno almoço é muito bom também, com muita variedade e qualidade, o jacuzzi também é perfeito para relaxar com total privacidade e a piscina que está a ser construída vem acrescentar ainda mais qualidade ao alojamento, a cama do quarto era muito boa também e no apartamento tinhamos tudo o que era necessário para uma estadia de uma noite, recomendamos a todos ficar aqui neste alojamento.

Não temos nada a mencionar para melhoria, mas só a lamentar o facto de termos chegado tarde no alojamento e ter ficado só uma noite. Pois o alojamento oferecia mais serviços como ginásio e massagem, mas o tempo foi escasso e não foi possível aproveitar tudo, espero regressar em breve e aproveitar tudo com mais tempo.
