If you're looking for something more than some ordinary stay and you'd like a whole experience, then there's no better place than this one. Everything was extraordinary, starting from contact before arrival, up until the very last minutes there. It was second-to-last stay in Japan during our honeymoon trip and it was marvelous. The stay was so nice we didn't want to leave our room (Kiku) - if not for the monkey park we wanted to really see, then I guess we would just spend the whole stay inside. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, food's extraordinary, the room was amazing. Having your personal garden and a roofed onsen makes every weather enjoyable. Staying there when it was raining was actually so cool! We imagined that staying there in the winter must be very enjoyable. Maybe some time in future :) Highly recommend!

Amazing baths, architecture, and ambiance. You feel like you’re the only people there. The service and attention they pay their guests is incredible. The food was excellent, and the overall experience was unforgettable. The public baths next door at Yoroduya were incredible and a very special experience to enjoy. It was well worth staying here!

My only complaint is that as a westerner with bigger feet (US11), the slippers available (especially the ones for outdoor use) were all too small. Once I’d taken a pair I felt awkward asking to exchange them!
