Great location to catch a bus to anywhere in Kyoto without being in a very busy area. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good buffet style breakfast with several options.

Wish we could have opened the exterior window.

Our room felt brand new. Beautiful setting, service and very comfortable for our family of 4. Onsen across the street was also a g tear inclusion of our stay. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderfully simple and obliviously authentic

Nothing

The staff is very kind and helpful. They gave us a warm welcome, explained how everything works in the hotel, transportation information, gave us a hotel/room tour, made our beds, explained how to use the public bath, explained us how to make a traditional Japanese breakfast. We got a free entrance for the public bath across the street, and got an explanation and shampoo (also other stuff) to have a pleasant experience. The breakfast was also very nice. We could choose to have an European and/or Japanese breakfast style, and we got an explanation on how to have a Japanese style breakfast. The area where you have your breakfast is also nice, you can have a look at the gardens and if you like sit in a traditional (on the ground) Japanese setting.
