We loved our stay! The room was cosy and comfortable, and amazing value for money. There was plenty of space to store our clothes, the room felt secure, and the shower was warm and powerful. The location was great, with plenty of walks nearby and a lovely stroll around the village after dinner. We decided to eat at the pub both nights and weren’t disappointed! The food was delicious and great value for money, with a plentiful choice of drinks. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of options to choose from, even for vegetarians! The staff were lovely and welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the cat, who must sneak into the laundry room to keep warm, as hinted at by the handwritten sign reminding everyone to make sure it wasn’t accidentally locked in there! I would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Our only complaints were that the mattress in our room felt a little thin, and we could hear the guests next door more than we would have liked due to the partition wall. I appreciate that soundproofing can be difficult to improve, but adding insulation may help reduce noise between rooms. These are just our personal opinions and may not bother other guests.

Lovely setting and old pub

The room we were allocated had a bed that was falling apart and the mattress was so soggy and uncomfortable. The room was dated and in need of a refurbishment. We complained and were moved to another room which was better
