However, before deciding to stay here, I strongly recommend considering the following points: 1. Excessive rules and additional charges: The property has numerous policies that seem designed primarily to protect the owners rather than the guests. Despite charging a cleaning fee, guests are required to take out the trash, collect used towels, and comply with an extensive checkout checklist, with potential additional charges. 2. Poor-quality supplies: Basic amenities such as toilet paper, slippers, and toothpaste are of very low quality. 3. Noise from neighbors: Neighbors across the street smoked marijuana, shouted, and made considerable noise, making it difficult to sleep peacefully. 4. No laundry facilities: The property does not have a washing machine or dryer, which can be inconvenient, especially for travelers staying several days. 5. Poor communication: Important information is provided gradually instead of being clearly communicated before arrival. Responses to messages are often delayed. For example, we requested a late checkout and received a response only after we had already returned to Costa Rica. 6. Guest experience: The number of restrictions, warnings, and potential extra fees creates an unnecessarily uncomfortable atmosphere for guests. The property was in a convenient, safe, and walkable location at a good price. The hosts were responsive and attentive, quickly meeting all our needs. The space was also clean and well-maintained.
