Domaine de Marculfo

After a long day of visiting Normandy, we booked this B &B online, not sure what to expect - it was a bit of a drive and worth every kilometer. It’s set in a rural area, almost to small to call a village, and the landscape is stunning. This 15th century building has been modernized in all the right ways and still so charming. The nearby church is worth the short walk over. The host couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating. The food was delicious. The room was wonderful and the bath was modern. Everything was well appointed, just lovely. The host has give great thought to making your stay everything you could need and hope for. I particularly was taken by the old wooden spiral staircase, just gorgeous wood. The house is just wonderful, comfortable and relaxing. Don’t hesitate to book this! It exceeded our hopes.

Il Domaine de Marculfo è una vecchia casa pastorale, ristrutturata con sapiente cura e trasformata in un luogo davvero incantevole. Il gusto nell’arredamento, il design e l’attenzione ai dettagli sono straordinari: ogni ambiente ha carattere, eleganza e personalità. La nostra camera era fantastica, raffinata e curata in ogni particolare, con una splendida vista sui prati e sulla campagna circostante. Ma ciò che rende il soggiorno ancora più speciale è Corinne. Si percepisce chiaramente quanto si dedichi ai suoi ospiti: è presente e disponibile senza mai essere invadente, attenta a ogni esigenza e sempre pronta a dare un consiglio. Ci ha aiutato a trovare posti dove mangiare e ci ha dato preziose raccomandazioni per scoprire la zona. Un luogo con un’anima, dove la bellezza della struttura si accompagna a un’ospitalità autentica. Sicuramente uno dei soggiorni più belli del nostro viaggio in Normandia.

The property and the rooms are delightfully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful and during the 4 nights that we stayed there, the owner (Corinne) introduced us to new local delicacies, every day. Corinne was also an integral part of our experience. She was warm and welcoming and shared with us all kinds of suggestions and addresses, which were extremely useful.

Un emplacement magique en pleine campagne et à proximité des plages et de son histoire. La chambre etait juste parfaite et on ne peut s attendre à mieux tant l hôte est aux petits soins et de très bons conseils. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour !

Rien....c est un sans faute !
