Host asked for call 30 mins before arrival to arrange key collection - we did this and left a message which wasn't picked up. Booking.com site gave an hour window for arrival which is too much. Had to call again and wait for a few minutes. During the afternoon the power went off in some of the rooms; luckily the flat above was vacant because of a cancellation so we were able to move into that which the host organised at short notice. Had the other flat not been free it would have been more of a problem as the power was off for most of the weekend. Both flats are very spacious and well appointed with an excellent situation in the centre of town.

When we booked the flat was advertised as having its own parking spot but it later became apparent this was not the case because of a change in Council regulations - the listing had not been updated. I don't know whose responsibility this is but any listing should reflect the actual facilities provided. Parking is available not far away but you need to get a new ticket at 08.00 each morning (£4.60 per day).

I didn't expect the place to be so big. It was incredible. The location was great, only a few minutes walk from the venue where the events of the convention were held

My only negative comment is concerning the curtains! I had difficulty closing/opening them and was concerned that I may damage them (which I didn't!)

A central location meant nothing was far to walk to. The apartment is spacious and the bed very comfortable. For those staying longer than three nights, there is a washing machine and clothes airer. For those not wishing to make breakfast, there is a cafe right outside the front door and the pedestrian area is just round the corner, offering several eating and shopping options.

The front door was warped which meant some force was required to open it. There is a pedestrian traffic crossing immediately outside which beeps every 30 seconds or so and as the apartment is on a bus route, there is a lot of traffic noise. The kitchen is very small (as is the WC) in comparison to the other rooms, which for one person was not an issue but might be for two in the kitchen. It is well equipped with appliances though.

Good central location. LIght and airy spacious property.

We didnt feel the property was quite ready to accept guests. Some decorating had been done, new carpets fitted throughout, but lots of unfinished elements of the project.ie metal hinges left sticking out of doorframe after doors removed, patch of bare plaster/paint peeling off bedroom ceiling. Vintage sofas were uncomfortable. Although we weren't eating in the apartment, didnt feel the kitchenette was fit for purpose.
