Uma Residence and Suites

Eine wunderbare Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung, die ich sehr ungern wieder verlassen habe. Die Anlage hat einen Standard, der fünf Sterne Niveau entspricht und der sich deutlich(!) von anderen Hotels in Kathmandu abhebt. Die Zimmer sind äußerst hochwertig ausgestattet, das Bett ist sehr bequem und das Bad ist sehr schön gestaltet, es gibt eine große offene Dusche und sehr gute Pflegeprodukte. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls gut, man wählt a la carte und das Personal ist außergewöhnlich freundlich und sehr kompetent. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die liebenswürdige Gastgeberin Tenzing. Sie ist sehr hilfsbereit und strahlt eine ansteckende Ruhe aus. Alleine wegen dieses besonderen Orts möchte ich nach Kathmandu zurückkehren. Man darf nicht unterschätzen, wie „anstrengend“ die Stadt ist und wie wertvoll daher eine solche ruhige Oase ist. Mit dem Taxi ist man auch schnell in der Stadt. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt und die Möglichkeit, nach dem anstrengenden Trek entspannen zu können 🙏🏻

We had the best stay, the staff were friendly and accomodating, creating a calming atmosphere. The food was phenomenal. The location is great, it's close enough to easily get into the city but far enough away that you can escape the city chaos. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever stayed on while travelling. Once again I cannot overstate how amazing the staff were, truly the loveliest people. Honourable mention is also that they have two cute dogs that I wished I could have taken home with me!!

That I couldn't stay there forever!

Uma Residence is great - great interior design and concept, wonderful rooms, we had a huge terrace with flowers attached to our room. Great sleep quality. Very cozy and beautiful garden, excellent breakfast. And very warm welcome from the host. Uma literally saved our last night in Nepal after we got a very disappointing experience with another hotel in Kathmandu. We’ll come back!

Quite upscale of setting. Secluded, beautiful outdoor area, and room layout and design is done professionally. Truly feels like am on a nice vacation. Only 15 min away from city center. Actually not far! Cheap taxi ride in and out.
