If you want to experience the "Finnish cottage" easily within a short distance from Helsinki, this is the place. This is not a cottage with a full range of technical amenities, but a traditional Finnish cottage with a sauna, lake, fireplace, grill, and a comfortable bed. The condition of everything is top-notch, though. There's just no TV nor wifi. People keeping the place are very friendly and reliable. They also live on the premises, but you still have your own peace. Pro-tip: Use the fireplace to provide warmth on cold/moist nights. You sleep extremely well, I guarantee.

Some of the wood was a bit moist, which caused some (minor) problems in getting the fire going at the sauna oven.

The mökki is absolutely beautiful, with amazing views and surrounded by nature. It’s the perfect place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy an authentic Finnish mökki experience. The hosts are lovely and incredibly helpful. Since I arrived by bus, they even took me to the supermarket to get some food when I arrived, which I really appreciated. The mökki has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, while still giving you that peaceful feeling of being away from everything and surrounded by nature. I had a wonderful time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic Finnish experience.

Everything was perfect.
