Lumbung Umaluah Villa

Lumbung Umaluah is a stunning place to stay. Two rooms overlooking the rice fields and slightly off the beaten track (although only a short ride or taxi trip from central areas of Sidemen). The staff are so incredibly lovely and helpful. Every question we had was answered easily and assistance organising a scooter and transportation to our next destination was a breeze. Super lovely room and ensuite bathroom, comfy bed and good AC!

The staff were really friendly, the breakfast was nice and the location near some good local warungs and the Sidemen rice terrace was excellent

We got woken at various times early in the mornings by the chickens, pigs and a cat. Both nights we stayed there was music until quite late coming from somewhere very close, making it hard to sleep.

This is a small family business with so much charm, there are chickens in the field outside and a beautiful view. I was made to feel so welcome and cosy. For the price particularly I was impressed at the standard of the room and bathroom - it was the one of the nicest bathrooms of my trip! It's a little distance from most of the restaurants but easy enough to find a scooter taxi, or even better - rent a scooter to get around and explore. Sidemen is just beautiful and has a proper relaxed and local feel which I really loved - if you go here, the Green Poan cooking class is also a must!
