The Franklin Hotel

Loved the location. Couldn't be better. Easy to get in and out ie code. We loved how quickly the staff responded when we had a small issue with the door. Bed was comfortable. Shower was great. Parking garage was right behind us so no worries about a car.

One of the things that we wished, wished the room had, was some comfy chairs that we could relax in after a long morning and afternoon and before going out to dinner. If we wanted to relax, we only had the bed to lie in. Also, a fan in the bathroom would have been wonderful. And just a small wish would have been to have a magnifying mirror.

Location was perfect, late check out was very helpful.

No elevator, no luggage storage to accommodate a late check out.

The room was clean, easy to access, spacious, and comfortable.

Although the room was right above the street, we didn't hear the street noise or the noise from the bars. With one exception: the noise from a jukebox in the bar directly downstairs. It was intermittent, but insanely loud when it was being used (which, unfortunately, was mostly after midnight).

The location was great, and really central. The staff was nice and helped me resolve a few problems. The bed was really comfortable, and we didn't hear too much noise (since we were on the third floor).

I think it was expensive in relation to what we got. The room looked old, and the cleaning service was only every three days (and you had to ask for it, it was not automatic). The bathroom didn't have a fan, so it held a lot of humidity, and the toilet flush was not working when we arrived. Additionally, we only received one and a half rolls of toilet paper. They offered tea bags and coffee, but only provided three small packets of sugar for a five day stay. The staff helped us resolve some of these problems, but it would have been better not to have had these issues in the first place.
