The Colony Hotel

Classic old school resort. Like stepping back in time. Gorgeous ocean views with a great pool and restaurant on site. Can’t wait to go back!

As always The Colony made our stay fantastic. We had our golden retriever and they made it so easy. Always our happy place to visit here and just a short walk to town. Love the new coffee shop and store they built. Thank you for another great stay!

We spent the Fourth of July weekend here, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. Between the patriotic festivities, classic lawn games, live music, and the charming atmosphere, it felt like we were in a nostalgic summer movie. You could tell so many families have been returning for generations, which made the experience even more special. The food and drinks were excellent, the views were breathtaking, and the pool is absolutely beautiful. The pool experience, however, could be elevated with more attentive service. It would be great if the pool attendants helped guests get settled, maintained the pool area throughout the day, and if there were more proactive poolside drink service, as we often had to walk up to the bar ourselves. As for the room, we completely understood that the Main House is historic, so we weren’t expecting a newly renovated space. However, one important detail that wasn’t clear when booking is that the Main House does not have air conditioning. During one of the hottest weekends of the summer, the room became very uncomfortable, and the fans provided weren’t enough. Had we known, we would have booked one of the newer accommodations across the street. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will absolutely be back. Next time, we’ll simply choose one of the renovated rooms. The history, traditions, and unforgettable Fourth of July celebration make this a truly special place.

We’ll be back for sure!!!
