Beautiful hotel and friendly staff! Only downside was the mini fridge in the rooms were not cold enough for me to store my son’s breastmilk. But we found ways to make it work and enjoyed our time!

Hello past and future guests,
We are seasoned travellers and have stayed at resorts in Mexico like Planet Hollywood (Royalton) and Hilton Mar Caribe. Booking through Expedia was easy, and we travelled the first week of June 2026, flying Porter via Pearson to Cancun. We arranged private transfers with Nexus, which went smoothly.
We loved our stay at Royalton Riviera Cancun, where we had a two-bedroom presidential swim-out suite and upgraded to Diamond Club. The resort was very clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Food options were plentiful. Our favourites were Zen, Grazie, and the Caribbean restaurant. The buffet even featured lobster one night. However, the Hunter Steakhouse was disappointing. Room service was good but often took about an hour. Diamond Club perks, like the lounge and quieter breakfast restaurant, were worth it.
Each pool had a different atmosphere, from party vibes to quieter spaces like the Diamond pool. Evening entertainment, the sports bar, and the disco were enjoyable.
Special thanks to Juan at the Diamond pool and our butlers Mauricio, Eduardo, and Irving, who made the stay exceptional.
A final tip: relax and don’t over-plan. Issues may happen—we had check-in problems, a flooded room, sand flea bites, and sargassum—but everything was handled quickly.

i have only one bad experience where one of there staff at pool bar not on pool side behind the pool young guy was so rude and whos only give response the girl first and even i was on that line to get my drink and i am very disappointed with his bad behavior. i strongly recommended to Royalton Rivera had to take some action and do some training to youg bar surver..
