Room was immaculate, but the hallways etc were just ok. “Luggage storage” (shared) suitable only for bohemian backpackers. Would be nice to be a little more flexible with the (purchased) late checkout. Kitchenette was handy but no eating utensils provided. Mini-fridge was pretty good-sized.

The Swan House is in a good area for accessing everything in Reykjavik. The apartment and neighborhood were quiet and the host was so helpful with prompt responses to emails.
Lots of pubs and good places to eat within a few blocks. Convenience stores were also fairly close.

We arrived very early. After 2 long flights and a day spent walking around another town to kill layover time, we just wanted to check in, shower and rest. It was easy to get in touch with an actual person who helped us with the check in process. Unfortunately our room was not ready yet but we were able to access the lounge, lavatories, and the luggage closet, which definitely helped. We walked around downtown, and got something to eat then returned to check in 15 minutes early.
