Old style elegance. Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Very good value for cost.

We stayed at Merdaka for 7 nights and the stay was alright. The first 2 nights was given the road facing room and the windows were not sound proof. Complained about it and the staff was accommodating and changed my room.
The hotel is a very old one and not very well maintained. The sheets had stains and bathrooms were old and moldy.
The only positive is the staff there are very helpful and polite.
