Cliveden House

Cliveden is truly an amazing place to experience! We have stayed here before and this time was even better. Their staff is also absolutely amazing! We had quite a journey getting to England because our original flight to Paris was canceled so we got to Paris later than anticipated and then the trains to England were down because of the heat wave so we couldn't get to London as originally planned either. After over 24 hours of airports and traveling, canceled flights, missing non refundable bookings etc., I was sobbing in the French airport after being told by the 4th airline that they had nothing available so I called Cliveden in a desperate panic and spoke with Lou who was an angel from above. I poured out everything to her and she was not only apologetic about our situation but empathetic and moved our pre-scheduled treatments to another day, offered credit if we couldn't get there in time to check in etc. She truly could not have been more helpful and I don't think she will ever know how much her compassion meant to us in that moment of utter despair. Cliveden Lou needs a raise! She's wonderful! Thankfully, the story ends well as we were able to make it on a last minute flight addition and were still able to have our fairy tale stay at Cliveden after all. Thank you to all of the staff for such a lovely experience 10/10 will stay here again and highly recommend to all who visit England!

Most special overnight stay. Magical 24 hours. We will be back. Valet staff annd reception are really super and go the extra mile.

A historic hotel set within the most stunning of surroundings. Friendly staff made our stay very enjoyable, dining in the main restaurant was somewhat disappointing however.

We stayed one night for my wife's 60th birthday. The staff were uniformly nice and welcoming and gave us a couple of treats for the occasion. We had a room with an outside hot tub which was a very nice treat. The grounds are lovely. The food at dinner was very good. My only point of caution for other travellers is that the place is very expensive - as well as the room rate, the vast majority of the wines on the dinner menu were more than £100. So this is one only for the most special of occasions
