It's a very nice hotel with plenty of charm and a really nice location. Cruise ships and other large ships come right past and it's not far of a walk to the main beach area and Pleasure Beach and was nice and quiet for our stay. Hard to fault the hotel in general. Breakfast was very nice as well. Staff were friendly.
The rooms were roomy and looked nice but unfortunately the pieces didn't add up to what I had hoped for. It was a hot weekend and fortunately quiet so we could have the window open as no AC or fan included. The bed was very springy. I honestly can't remember the last time I felt springs in a bed and each side of the bed had a different level of padding. There was no hair dryer. The remote control only half-worked, I had to use the volume buttons on the back of the TV. So just think with a bit of an update it could be a really great stay.

The location is just stunning, and the staff are a delight. A truly lovely place, though slightly dated in that the rooms needed a slight upgrade with additions such as USB points.
