Haymarket Hotel

It was a unique hotel with different flats made into rooms. The breakfast was rather dismal for the price. Other than that it was a fine experience.

Very nice and decent stay in Edinburgh! Very close to the train station like 3-5mins walk. Plus the front reception is very helpful and nice! I got there way early before my checkin time so i left my bags with them. When i came back, my bags were already in my room. Room was huge and clean for a very good price! I didnt get to explore the amenities but I would book this place again when I visit Edinburgh

This was our first trip to Edinburgh so we wanted to stay someplace original that reflected the history of the city not some modern chain/franchise hotel. The Haymarket was just what we were looking for. Reminded us of the old row houses or brownstones. The hotel does not have a lift so hauling our suitcases was not so easy. The hotel is not air conditioned and the weather was quite warm. The staff provided a nice floor fan that made our stay more comfortable. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. The area was very quiet and transportation was close by. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. No matter the missing conveniences we loved our stay.

The courteous and accommodating staff were truly magnificent. They held my bag while I went on a tour prior to returning to Edinburgh. Upon re-check in, my bag was already in my room. The breakfast was very good. While I highly recommend and would definitely stay again, the beds need to be refreshed. I could feel and hear the metal coil springs. Perhaps a good topper would improve the mattress’s comfort.
