Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Rome

I always like staying at Hawthorn suites in Rome. On past visits, parking was always FREE. Now it cost $11 per day! I didn’t like this change at all. Parking should be included in your hotel room price. It was a big turn off for me. The breakfast restaurant food was pretty good but it took more than 30 min for it to make it to our table. It was a bit expensive as well. The room was very spacious but there were mosquitoes out on the balcony. Need more lights on balcony and treatment for mosquitoes. No privacy screens to separate the guest balcony.

Only complaint was that the “river view” rooms have no view of the river. Trees are so overgrown they block everything outside of the window.

Beautiful

We are locals, but stayed at Hawthorn when going to a concert at the nearby Forum because it's in walking distance. The hotel offers free breakfast (although we left too early to take advantage of it). The downside is that even though you're a hotel guest who's stayed several times, you still have to pay separately for parking in the hotel's own parking lot. But the proximity to our venue as well as walking distance to nearby restaurants made it still worthwhile to us.
