Very historic resort, but was not run down at all. Staff was friendly, and it is a very peaceful area. Only stayed 1x night, but found rooms clean and spacious.

The Four Seasons Resort is pretty awesome. Beautiful grounds, perfectly maintained, enjoyed a 2 hour trip on the pontoon boat at the resort. The island resort sits in the middle of the Menominee River which is among the best smallmouth bass fishing rivers in the US. Golf course is top notch. We were there over Labor Day weekend and they had a good crowd. It was surprising they weren't sold out. If I lived in Milwaukee or Chicago it would be a great couples weekend for golf, fishing, cheese, brats or beer.
