I really appreaciated the location, the staff, the lobby amenities and having a washer/dryer in the unit. My room had no natural light, quite dark and dated.

The free sake was a nice way to end the day, and the Refa hair products were really nice. We picked up some Refa products after using them in the hotel, as they’re not easily available in the US. There’s also a ton of nice restaurants nearby, as well as general things to do like museums. The in unit washing/ drying machine definitely sealed the deal.

The most amazing hotel during our stay in Japan
This was the best hotel of our whole trip. The place is spotless, and we loved the amenities, especially the foot spa and the free drinks.
The staff were incredibly helpful. My friend lost an earring at teamLab and asked one of the staff to contact them and explain the situation in Japanese. He did it right away, and thankfully the earring was found. We picked it up the following day.
The location is also great, very close to the market and public transportation, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto.
