We stayed there for one night on our way home from holiday. The hotel seemed quite new and everything was fine. Nice spacious room, quiet location, good breakfast. The receptionist recommended a very good restaurant 5 minutes walk from the hotel, as there wasn't one at the hotel.

I visit Aschersleben on a regular basis - if at all possible I choose City Hotel.
