Dated but very clean and maintained. Perfect for a night stop over.

We arrived late and walked into a lovely warm room, that was very much appreciated.

The accommodation was OK, a bit dated but they added some new touches inside.
However, I booked the room because there was a photo over “select this room” with a cooker in it.
However, when we arrived there wasn’t one; only a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. We phoned reception from the supermarket to ask about that as it’s not easy being a vegetarian in Taihape. The receptionist said we had booked one of two rooms with no cooker in it. When my husband told her about the photo, she said the Expedia photo was out of date. She maintained we hadn’t booked a room with a cooker in it.
It looks like they may have updated the photo on the site, but too late for us.
