The hotel is exceptional and the area where it is located is breathtaking. While you have to pay in order to use the geothermal pools anywhere else on the island, there are geothermal pools right here in the hotel for your use anytime of the day or night! The hotel leaves little treats and trinkets in your room for you throughout most of your stay, there are incredible tasting teas with cookies in the lobby area, and breakfast was divine! We highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel felt very personal and almost like I was in a paradise. The staff was always friendly and helpful, no matter what we needed they were always able to accommodate.
What I really enjoyed was the thermal pools, it made the entire hotel feel more in nature, additionally they were never stingy with their towels unlike some hotels that put a limit on you.
Overall great location and amazing experience, would recommend to anyone looking for a paradise getaway.
Looking forward to coming back next year!

Our stay at Octant Furnas was exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, the food was excellent, and the location is perfect for exploring the Furnas area.
What impressed me most, however, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay memorable.
The highlight came on my birthday. Throughout the day, several staff members wished me a happy birthday, which was a thoughtful touch. Later that evening, I mentioned it to one of the staff members and asked how everyone seemed to know. He smiled and explained that they share that information among the team so they can make guests feel special.
Then he surprised me even more. He said, "You were in Ribeira Quente today." When I asked how he knew that, he laughed and said, "You walked past my house, and I thought, 'I know that guy!'" It was such a genuine and personal moment that perfectly captured the warmth and hospitality of the people of the Azores.
