It's a longish drive from Cagliari (around 250KM) but of course it's worth it to really get away from it all.
The hotel is a lovely place up in the hills so you have your choice of the spectacular mountain scenery on one side or a lazy day on the beaches on the other. Watch those twisty mountain roads though! Watch more for the Mountain Goats who, I swear, like to leap out at you just for a dare. Especially when you're coming around on a tight u-bend with a deadly sheer precipice on one side.
The owners have quite a menagerie and I especially loved the donkeys who were all friendly and adorable. One had a foal on the second night I was there and I got to see the new one the following day. Awwww!
Very helpful, friendly owners and "Mama" is a lovely person. So, if peace, quiet and irresistibly cute baby animals is your thing, I highly recommend a stay here.
