Had character, very friendly staff and a place that is thinking of the environment

A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated.
The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. We also enjoyed chatting with some fellow guests who were repeat visitors, which says a lot about the place.
Overall, a relaxed and friendly hotel in a fantastic location, and somewhere we’d be happy to return to.

We had a warm welcome on a very rainy February day. Our room was warm and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was really good.
The weather stopped us visiting the Observatory, which was a shame.
We will definitely visit again at a different time of year, as the hotel is well placed to visit places of interest.

Excellent food& good selection of local beer. Staff were brilliant , very helpful & friendly. Only downside is the room was a little dated, but clean & comfortable. We do intend to return.
