Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wilmington West - Medical Park by IHG

This Holiday Inn Express was everything advertised and MORE!! The staff is absolutely amazing and very friendly!! I had the unique opportunity to see fabulous customer service “in action” while working at the computer station in the lobby at “check-in”. Sharon, a manager that had been called in on her day off, handled an angry guest in the most professional and courteous manner, despite his rudeness and attempt to make his “bad experience at another HIE location (in another state)”, all the Wilmington location’s fault. Throughout our stay we witnessed the hard working staff constantly working, as there is always lots to do in hospitality. Michelle was making sure rooms were being serviced and “flipped” for new guests and Danica serviced our room throughout the week of our stay!! OUTSTANDING!! We will be back when we come this way again!! Thank you so much for your efforts!! Kind words are always welcome!!

The staff was very good. Sharon is excellent. She is service oriented, understanding and always seeking to assist the customer. Sharon did a good job of ensuring a very positive experience during our stay.

I like the close vicinity to everything that I attended, jungle rapids, the beach, etc. The hotel was nice, the pool, breakfast and staff were great. Only one thing was I did find several strings of hair on a towel and a pillow but nothing major, it’s to be expected even when we wash our on clothes and linen sometimes a string of hair gets in the mix. Overall, great stay! I will stay again.

The hotel staff was very helpful when we identified that the air conditioning was not working. They changed our rooms, although the hotel was fully booked. The rooms could be cleaned better, especially the bathrooms. Overall, it was a nice stay, with a decent breakfast and great staff.
