Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge

Lovely and large room with king bed and a fire place. Ensuite was also large. They also put hot water bottles in our bed at turn down - such a lovely gesture. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Food good and fresh too. We also saw a Golden Monkey there too. Nb. Worth noting that the laundry service doesn’t include ironing/pressing.

This is a delightful small hotel in Kinigi, close to the Gorilla Experience headquarters. The rooms are in spacious huts with a fire and hot water bottles provided at night as it gets quite cold. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, lighting fires in the lounge and dining room at sunset and with little portable fires for each table. The setting is rustic and charming with 4 star facilities and don’t forget the wonderful complimentary foot massage and shoe cleaning after the gorilla trek. Delightful little hotel.

I’d stay here again in a heartbeat, especially if you’re coming to Rwanda for gorilla trekking. The staff were truly outstanding and went above and beyond throughout my entire stay. Everyone was incredibly warm, helpful, flexible, and genuinely focused on making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. One of the best touches was coming back after a long day of trekking and having them offer to wash my hiking boots, clean my feet, and give me a foot massage. After hours on the mountain, it felt absolutely amazing and was such a thoughtful level of service. This is also a perfect hotel for gorilla trekking. Almost everyone staying there was doing a trek, so the staff completely understand the schedule and what guests need. They can prepare a packed lunch for you to take on longer hikes and make the whole experience incredibly easy. Beautiful hospitality, wonderful staff, and exceptional service. They made my stay feel special, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Volcanoes National Park.
