We stayed in room 235 (the one used in “Heat”). We weren’t sure at first that the hotel would be good, but it really was. The parking was around the back. The breakfast pastries were delicious and generous. The 24 hr hot drinks machine was complementary and with lots of options - another plus! The pool was small but never busy, so we didn’t mind that at all. The location was perfect - one block over from Warner and a $1.75 per person bus ride on 222 to Universal. Bob’s Big Boy diner was a fun visit and the Mexican next door (recommended by the check-in staff) was fantastic! All in all a really, really lovely few days and we were well looked after as a family. We will be back!

The staff is wonderful and accommodating.
Bed was comfortable and bedding was nice and great condition.
I do prefer a bed with more of a padded topper, but it’s fine for a few nights and at least it’s not hard as a rock. I definitely can’t sleep on super firm beds.
The whole place is quite dated but they’ve done a decent job with maintenance and cleaning.
The bed, table, and chairs are in good condition and cute style.
The bathrooms can really use a remodel or at least some shower caulking in the units I’ve seen. Newer towels would also be great. Breakfast is pastries from a local bakery, but I couldn’t personally indulge due to gluten allergies. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay in the area, especially with free parking.
