Cairns City Motel

The motel is exactly what is advertised. A 3 star motel that was very clean with basic amenities. I picked the motel because of location, price and it was a place to rest at night. I didn't want to pay for frills and stuff, and although it was a it 'worn' I didn't mind it.

I was within walking distance to the Esplanade and other facilities that I required such as cafes and transport.

Excellent location and great value for money. Thank you

The room was adequate. The door could be replaced as the opening at the bottom of the door was far to open and there was no screen door. This allowed all sorts of critters to enter the room during my stay. Including a massive huntsman spider that I discovered about 3 am in the morning in the bathroom. I dealt with it but there was no more sleeping that night for me. On my last night I could hear my upstairs neighbour making noises until after 11.30 pm which annoyed me somewhat as I had to be up at 5.30am to get ready for my journey home. 6 hours sleep wasn't enough and I was grumpy all day.
