My husband and I were very impressed with the Golden Apple Inn. We went with my daughter, son in law and my grandsons, ages 12 & 8. We had rooms across the hall from each other, theirs was facing the pool and ours was facing the parking lot.
We all enjoyed the pool!! The grounds were very well maintained (my son in law is a landscaper too). The ice machine, vending machines were stocked, and staff on site were absolutely charming!!
We went to Storyland, which was only 4 minutes away!!
Will definitely stay here again!!

We stayed for two nights at the Golden Apple Inn while hiking nearby trails around Mount Washington and Mount Stanton, and it was fantastic. The location is perfect—close to plenty of hiking trails, charming local towns, and great places to eat.
Our room was cozy, comfortable, and very well kept. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, and the fireplace was an amazing touch. We also appreciated having a refrigerator, microwave, and separate sink, which made it convenient to keep and prepare our own food. The woman working at the front desk was friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions for nearby trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return!
