Rose Marie Guest House

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The room and amenities could do with some updating, and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The walls are quite thin, so you can easily hear other guests coming and going, which may be an issue if you’re a light sleeper. On the positive side, the bed was clean and very comfortable, the English breakfast was lovely, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was also easy to find. There isn’t any on-site parking, but there’s a community car park just a 5-minute walk away that costs £6 for 24 hours, which was convenient enough. Despite a few areas that could be improved, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying again.

Cavin has been a wonderful host. I 'll fully recommend this property for comfortable stay .

When I first arrived no one answered the door, I had to wait about 10 minutes until someone finally heard my knocking. Not sure if the doorbell was not working or what happened. Checkin was very easy - just told the man my name and got given a key, same went for check out. The walls are thin so you can hear other guests, but overall it was a good place to stay if you are looking for an affordable option.

The room was very well equipped with even a full size fridge, which I find essential for the hot weather. A microwave was provided and the whole place was really home from home. The breakfast was outstanding and hospitality beyond good....Such a refreshing change from the modern sterile and simply well overpriced Lodges you encounter. I would highly recommend this delightful and well situated guest house for the traveler seeking a sensibly priced and welcoming place to stay. Parking was a little tight, but parking is an issue wherever you go. The house as far as I can tell is run by an Irish woman, who was very helpful and was an exceptional host....Many thanks for a wonderful short stay.
