Our room was spacious, with a picturesque water view. Hotel staff are friendly and engaging; made us feel welcome. The restaurant is great. Breakfast, too. And the pub where we chatted with some very nice folk. Worth the splurge.

The property is a bit dated. The carpet on stairway is frayed and should be replaced. The bedroom was tiny. The bed was comfortable. The staff seemed uninterested in checking me into the hotel, and I had wait and ask several times for assistance. Same with checkout. The restaurant’s food was good, esp the local seafood.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate. The room we were in at first had a pretty old mattress. I asked to get a mattress pad, and instead, they changed out the mattress. The food was great. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We could not say enough good things about this place.
