It White House was on the river and relaxing.

What a beautiful place to stay, nestled along the river. You would never know that you were so close to a city. We were only there one night and had to leave early the next day, so we didn’t interact with anyone or have breakfast. If you like older homes with creaky floors, this place is for you. So much character! There are (2) homes to book. We stayed in the Grey House.
One thing to note is the narrow drive to/from the property. It is wide enough for one car with a few places for the exiting car to pull over to make room. Definitely a tight squeeze!

Four Mounds was delightful! It is a beautiful house decorated with vintage furniture, comfortable beds, beautifully tiled bathrooms, plush robes, and hosts Dee and Willow who gave us a history lesson about the property and its prior owners, and made the most wondrous breakfasts each day before we began exploring Dubuque.
