Booked a 2 days/1 night cruise with Orchid Classic. Above all a big shout out to the staff. They do go a long way to give you the best experience. In particular, Hoa was looking after us and she has delivered a fantastic service. The boat is a little tired but very comfy and has all the required amenities including a jacuzzi and some kayaks. Ha Long bay has disappointed as the water is quite dirty. There are far too many boats, not providing any privacy on the boat. The activities included on the cruise are fairly basic, 1-hr kayaking was not special, 10-mins swimming in some fairly dirty water and 1-hr trek on cat ba island visiting some caves. The food was pretty good and plentiful. Overall, a good experience.

Practicing slow, deliberate movements on the sundeck as the mist rises off the water was a highlight of the trip. The Vibe What sets Orchid apart is how serene and peaceful the entire experience feels. Because Lan Ha Bay is less crowded than its neighbour, Ha Long Bay, you truly feel immersed in nature.
