The hosts, Ema and Yukutt, were great. They extended a hand of friendship and I truly appreciated it. I considered them more than hosts, but rather friends or family. They did everything for me from arranging transport, trekking, sightseeing and advice. Highly recommended. The trekking was excellent with Sandi, Andy, Peri and Sugi. They took of me all the way. We saw Orangutans, monkeys and more. Thanks for a great stay.
Alittle noisy with monkeys jumping on roofs, motorbikes passing, people talking and roosters crowing. Earplugs are helpful. I also would have liked warm water for showers. Overall, though, excellent stay.

Comfortable, central location, kind hosts. I booked the jungle trek through them and it was great.

A beautiful home with a lovely balcony just outside the two rooms overlooking the road - equipped with 2 hammocks & a table for breakfast/dinner. The family are absolutely lovely & made us feel very very welcome. We came for the jungle trekking - which was incredible - but we could have easily stayed for a few more nights here. The rooms were very clean, the shower warm, good toilets, delicious breakfast. Would recommend to anyone visiting Bukit Lawang.
Nothing negative to say. The rooms are basic but exactly what you need & expect for the price. Occasional from monkeys on the roof just added to our experience.

Sama Sama makes you feel at home as soon as you step through the door. It is comfortable, convenient and overall the perfect stay. We opted for the one day trek and our two guides were amazing! Our transportation from the airport and onward was incredibly smooth and easy (thanks Dedek!). If you are planning on visiting Bukit Lawang, stay with Sama Sama!
