Peaceful, rural location, lovely garden and comfortable beds. Well equipped. Kitchen a little smaller than expected.

Unfortunately the cottage had not had a deep clean before we arrived, cobwebs and fire not cleaned out , dishwasher broken and down stairs loo needed a tidy, but the cottage still gave that wonderful away from it all vibe , the gardens are amazing as always, the owners met us on arrival to explain the issues with dishwasher and loo and when they would be fixed , the new dishwasher did not arrive during our stay , and l must state this did not dampen our stay as it was a wonderful relaxing stay

We had an excellent week in Garden Cottage, the location was perfect. The grounds and surrounding woodland provided our dog with the perfect playground.Really comfortable cottage, isolated but with excellent WiFi,Smart TV etc.The only slight criticism is the cooking utensils could do with a bit of an upgrade. However this didn’t spoil what was a brilliant holiday. Thank you.

The positives for this cottage are the location and the garden. The beds are comfy and bed linen crisp and clean. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh them. At the very least it needs a deep clean, at first glance it looks fine but on closer inspection its filthy in places. It smells musty and feels damp in the main living room, the furnishings and decor are tatty (apart from newish beds). The kitchen wasnt equipped with basics like a corkscrew and scissors and there wasnt much room to store our food and it was generally grubby. Whilst on a lovely estate most of it wasnt accessible which was a shame. I think the photographer of the cottage has been very creative, its not somewhere we will be returning to. On a final note the lady (Louise?) who maintains the grounds and properties was friendly and knowlegeable about the area.
