Lovely cottage Good location Adequate for 4 people

Lacking an iron and ironing board Only one towel per person(I know i should have taken some more) Needs a blind at bathroom window WiFi password didnt work we all tryed putting in our phones Now the bad bits it was very very dirty Bathroom shower mat absolutely flithy lifted it up and shower tray was disgusting not been cleaned Mat was full of mould (sent owner the photos) Dust every where mirror in bedroom you couldn't see in it was so bad Tissues under the bed The list goes on I did contact owner but not on day arrival as we dumped our bags and went straight out for a family meal We were attending my sons wedding So we didn't see most of the dirt till we came bk in the evening I didnt contact owner straight away as we rushing around getting ready for wedding He came back to me after I contacted him on sunday morning His answer was going foward I will spk to the cleaner Sorry to say that place needs a deep clean Booking.com hasn't been able to resolve my complaints with owner So not happy They have refunded me £19 Wish is an insult

It was just the right size. It had everything you required for a stay and it location was fantastic. Very short walk away from all attractions in Buxton.

The stairs are a little steep and very creaky.

Location and value for money

It’s fine, but a little tired.

The host provided pre practical information related to the property and parking which was very helpful. The location was very central too ,with lots of local amenities, options for activities, walks without having to drive anywhere. The check in was straight forward and easy with the lockbox. It was a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

It was very cold on the first night ,whilst the top floor was very warm and cosy with the provided oil filled radiator, the first floor bedroom and bathroom were particularly cold as was the living area. I think some type of central heating would have really helped given it is still cold during late winter, early spring. I think if we had booked earlier in the winter it would have been even colder! The parking too was quite difficult, especially with one of us having a big car. On the first night I had to park further away.
