Cosy Koala Hostel

Ambiance, comfort and hospitality all were upto the mark

Washrooms are few

I stayed here many times during my stay in Tbilisi and my favourite thing about this hostel was the location and Brendon the manager! He made my stay such a joy. He was always on hand for any questions and was super helpful if I needed help on how to get to a different city or to book transport to Yerevan. Recommend places to eat or bars and he also was just happy to have a chat and get to know you and he makes the effort to remember everyone’s names. The location is right next to the mother of Georgia and the 8mins walk from the main square, it’s super easy to get around. The beds were also super comfy and a bottom bed is prioritised if you are staying for longer, I also like that a free towel is provided for 3 nights or more. There is also a clean kitchen which can be used if you want to cook. A lovely stay and I would return if I ever come back to Tbilisi!

Only the bottom beds have curtains which is a shame for privacy. The rooms are hot - there is an AC remote which you can use at any time but as you’re sharing the room people often turn it often which can create a very warm environment. A shelf and some more hooks would be helpful in the bunks to hang stuff as the rooms are a little small. And the bins in the bathroom could be cleaned twice a day as they get full by the morning.

The staff is super friendly!

I had a very good time at Cozy Koala. Good people and good vibe. Staff were great, especially Brendon. It was very clean.Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of storage space. Location is very good.

The only bad thing, & the reason for the relatively low rating, was the bathrooms. There are only 2 and it's not enough for the number of beds. I frequently had to queue to use them - shower and toilet are together. They are also cramped and poorly ventilated - the extractor fans didn't work very well. Plus the whole floor would get wet necessitating mops and squeegee to dry them.
