Great Location and very easy to access the condo at check in It was great having nearby parking included

The place is beautiful and well kept.

The location is very good but you can only access through an alley. At night it’s very dark and if it rains you will have your feet underwater when walking to the apartment.

location was good for us. vibrant area of town with restaurants and shops and Trader Joes. full kitchen, which is pretty well stocked, and good bathroom. Washer/dryer is nice to have. Quiet, even on a Saturday night. Host was good at communicating before and during, although we did not need anything.

Although apartment has decent layout, it just feels like a place that is now ready to be decorated. Minimalist is one thing, but the apartment has no warmth or cozy feeling that makes you want to stay and hang out. Very spartan furnishings - mostly uncomfortable inexpensive Ikea-like stuff. No bedside lamps, no real art or color. Soulless. No dresser drawers to unpack your suitcases, and no stands for the suitcases - so we had to keep all of our stuff on the floor if it didn't go on a hanger. A couple of curtain rods with no curtains on them. A nail sticking out of a wall with nothing hanging on it. Alley entrance is not too bad, although be prepared to see local wildlife. No views - DC public works building out one window; big trees mostly hiding view into main houses out of other windows, so view is really not much better than all the basement rentals in the area. We have been at many AirBnBs/short-term rentals around the world, and this is probably the least appointed one we have been in. Welcome snacks consisted of two bottles of water and two Hersheys Kisses. There were three coffee K-cups in the cabinet for a 3-night stay for 2 people, so I assume those were left by a previous guest. Interesting that on AirBNB, this place is listed as hosted by a person named Leah, and Leah is the name on the messages we received. But here on Booking.com, the place is listed as being hosted by something called Great Dwellings, so not sure if this is just run by a property management company, which would help explain the unimaginative decor. Bottom line: If you just need a place to shower and sleep and then stay away all day, it will do.
