The building was clean, secure, and easy to enter and leave once we were checked in. The location is very good, across the street from a lovely municipal park and with a great view south from the unit, and an frankly incredible rooftop deck with views of the south San Diego-Tijuana city. It looks amazing at night.
The area is undergoing rapid renovation - during our two-night stay, we saw workers demolish the upper level of a collapsed structure and haul off the boards and rubble.
The unit has a number of irregularities and inconveniences - the bedroom closet doors are too large for the doorframe making it diffult to reach the middle 1/3rd of the space, the paint on the wall next to the bedroom door wasn't applied correctly, though the unit has a washer we couldn't find a drying rack or clothesline so we had to try to dry it hanging on towel hooks, shower rod, and the oven handle. Because it was rainy, heavy items like towels and jeans simply did not dry.
