Really friendly welcome when we arrived, the lady who checked us in was really smiley and kind. We liked her a lot. Really liked our room (room 4) - it was cosy and had an ensuite bathroom which was a real treat as we only have a shower at home. Breakfast was great, just the right size, cooked beautifully and we really liked chatting with the guy who cooked for us too. Really friendly and welcoming. Really liked how close to Beamish Living Museum it was, literally 5 minutes on the bus, which stops outside! AND we got 25% off our tickets with the bus ticket too. Everyone I came across made sure we knew about that deal too!

Due to the age of the Inn, it was really creaky and I got a bit anxious about my little boy playing in the room, and making too much noise downstairs. Nobody complained to us, but it was a concern I had. Honestly, can't really think of anything "proper" we didn't like.

Breakfast was great. No complaints.

Prompt check in, really comfortable room and bed. Quiet and peaceful. Really lovely breakfast.

Excellent food and friendly staff but place needs a serious make over. Bedding clean. Good location for visiting Beamish Museum.

Mattresses horrendous, need replacing immediately. Decor throughout very tired and needs updating. Needs a good deep clean. Garden completely overgrown. Towels stunk of smoke and strong smoke smell in public area
