AS SEEN ON The Magnolia Network's "Bespoke Inns," Southern Living Magazine, Country Living Magazine, National Geographic Luxury Collection, Plateau Magazine and more...The sun rises over the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the morning mist of a temperate rainforest hovers over the lake and the sweet songs of a bevy of birds greet you at Flat Mountain Farm. Its 28 acres have been a mountain haven and tranquil escape for more than 40 years and beckons discerning guests who aspire to escape modern-day frenzy for true tranquility.... This is the largest home on our private estate and overlooks our private lake. At a sprawling 5000 SF, each bedroom is quite large and features five (5) fireplaces. There is a large entertaining terrace with firepit, outdoor lounge areas, covered outdoor dining, porch swing that overlooks The Lake.

Our stay at The Peregrine was wonderful! We had 4 adults & 3 children. Fishing in the pond was a real favorite as well as playing family games on the lawn. The location is perfect with easy access to Highlands downtown & close enough to Cashiers. The size of this 5,000 sq ft house is perfect for the number of people in our group-plenty of room to spread out. We will remember our stay there with great fondness!

Wonderfully relaxing and well appointed property. We spent Christmas with our adult children and their significant others for a total of seven adults plus one very handsome golden retriever. It was a truly magical experience with multiple places to congregate annd enjoy quality family time. Impeccably clean and laid out with everything you might need for a stay. Even had a flour sifter for our blini making which shows the attention to detail the owners have put into making this property an effortless experience. Multiple working fireplaces, rustic log cabin joinery, outdoor firepit, walking trails through crisp forests, stocked pond, stacks of firewood and high-end appliances such as a Lacanche range bring a wonderful mixture of rustic countryside thoughtfully embellished with bits of luxury. Owners were immediately responsive and very helpful for any question. Highly recommend this property for a stay in the Higlands.
