It was an authentic pub with an excellent reputation for its food. Its range of beers was excellent. The room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom of a really high quality. It was close to the delightful centre of Llandaff and walks along the River Taff.
The lack of a car park and the competiveness for space for street parking was an issue. The poor quality of the internet access undermined the high quality of the excellent facilities.

Bit of a hidden gem. A random pick because it was close to the halls that my daughter was moving into.
Really friendly staff, superb room and the pub seemed great although we only stopped for a quick drink after lugging bags. I imagine I’ll be back a few times
The only negative was that there was some road noise, but it’s on a road, so, hey.
And I couldn’t get the TV to work.

Spacious, well-equipped room, comfortable bed, Netflix on TV, fabulous bathroom.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
The stairs are very steep and winding. If you have mobility problems or are very unfit, then this is something to take into account.
We had been looking forward to trying the food, but the kitchen was closed the days we were there 😒.
