Kreuzberg / Unique Artist Residence & Atelier
Unique Artist Residence & Atelier in the Heart of Kreuzberg
Welcome to our distinctive souterrain located at Schleiermacherstraße 18, 10961 Berlin, Kreuzberg. This space, formerly known as "Untergeschoss der Pandora," was once a vibrant art gallery before transforming into an artist residency and sculptor's atelier. Now, it offers a unique living experience that captures the true essence of Berlin's creative spirit.
The Space
This raw and artistic space is perfect for those seeking an authentic Berlin experience. The atelier features a concrete floor and is thoughtfully divided into a working and living area. The space is adorned with a dynamic selection of artworks, providing an inspiring environment that reflects the city's vibrant art scene.
Amenities
Living Area: Cozy and functional, with a Berlin-inspired decor.
Bathroom: A unique, spacious retreat featuring a large bathtub—ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring the city.
Kitchen: A small, functional kitchen equipped with basic appliances, perfect for preparing simple meals.
Quiet Ambiance: Despite being in a lively neighborhood, the space offers a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle.
Location
Our location is unbeatable. Nestled in the heart of Kreuzberg, you're just steps away from some of Berlin's best bars, restaurants, cafes, parks, and the picturesque canal. This vibrant neighborhood is known for its eclectic mix of cultures and creative energy, making it a perfect base for your Berlin adventure.
Important to Note
This is not your typical Airbnb stay. The space is raw and darker, with a distinct Berlin vibe. It may not meet the expectations of guests looking for a hotel-like cleanliness or a conventional apartment. Instead, it's an experience—an opportunity to immerse yourself in a unique, artistic environment that celebrates the unconventional.
Ideal For: Art enthusiasts, creatives, and those seeking an authentic and unconventional experience.
Not Ideal For: Guests looking for a typical, hotel-like accommodation experience.

This apartment is a conceptual gallery, full of aesthetic, and, idiosyncratic decor. Beautiful bath, spacious living areas, and a nice and dark bedroom are great. A kitchen with no sink? Almost No overhead lights, and those that are there have no clear way to turn them off? Better to light the walls and corners full of sculpture and installations. The included laundry was a plus, though hidden behind heavy wood pallets. The floor is split between “no shoes” and “must have shoes due to flaking paint from the communist era” so bring your slippers. As a visitor from the States, this is my picture of living like a Bohemian Berliner to a T, and you should probably try it if that’s what you are looking for.Let’s talk about some highlights that make this place a gem: the bath tub is luxurious and big enough for two. The location is exceptional, close to the U7 subway, parks, restaurants, and nightlife of Kreuzberg, all in walking distance. The hosts are very nice, and we wish them all the best, whether they choose to rent their place out again or not.

This space is literally an art gallery with a living space included. The host is quite helpful and friendly. If you are (like me) a person who enjoys staying in rare and unique locations, this is a must for a very Berlin-centric visit.
