Federal Hill Suites and Rooms

The location is a mile walk to downtown and the public bus stop to the airport, and convenient. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. There was a mini fridge and a microwave in the room, which were convenient. The bed was comfortable. The wifi and the TV were good. There were plastic plate, cup, and a bowl, which were usable. Code access to the building and the room was convenient.

The big gap at the bottom and the top of the bedroom door, and the lack of a deadbolt on the door were unnerving. The room was on the first floor and the windows were facing the parking lot of the noise, and I had to make sure the windows locked. The squeaky noise everytime I stepped on the hardwood floor was annoying. The people staying upstairs above me were walking on the squeaky hardwood floor, too, which kept me awake. The colored bedsheets, pillow covers, and especially the towels made it difficult to see if they were clean and free of stains. There was no hair dryer in the room, and this was frustrating.

The location is perfect and will recommend it to others.

Room was clean and comfortable for the stay that I had - minimal but sufficient and perfectly suited for the price. Bed was very comfortable, AC kept the room dry and cool.

The instructions to locate the correct door to access the room are not clear. There are four exterior doors to the building, each with their own code to enter and each with their own access to specific interior rooms. A couple of the doors are labeled with the same number, but if you don't know whether to enter the front door labeled #2 or the back door labeled #2, it is confusing. Also, if entering after dark and your entry door is in the rear of the property, there is NO LIGHT provided AT ALL and is quite intimidating to walk around the back of a building, essentially in the pitch dark (you've got to use your cell phone light). PLEASE install a light on the side of the building lighting up the sidewalk around to the back and lights above the two exterior rear doors (they can even be MOTION-SENSOR) and PLEASE be more descriptive about which exterior door to use to enter the building and access our room.
