Great location - walking distance to cafes, takeaways, pub/restaurants & local supermarket. Free parking on site. Train travel to Great Yarmouth or Norwich, literally on the doorstep. Property was quirky & decor etc in keeping with the age of the building. Beds were really comfy. Generally clean & tidy. Communication with owner was good - where to park, collect keys etc. however, slight dampener as arrived 20 minutes early than requested & agreed arrival time (15.00) & received a message which felt a bit like a telling off. It’s difficult when you’re travelling to predict an exact arrival time & for me I’m just glad I’ve arrived safely & I’m excited to get in the property. The owner wanted to turn lights on & the radio before our arrival, which is nice but maybe should note in the policies to not arrive earlier than requested- we would have waited outside or gone for a coffee.

There was a strong damp smell inside but I guess that’s the age of the building. Shower wasn’t very powerful & the toilet seat was loose. Would have liked an instruction/information folder, although phone numbers of interest eg. local Police, dentist etc were provided.

Everything. A perfect place to stay.

Not the hosts fault but the previous guests had turned off the hot water/heating so was cold to start with but it was rectified very quickly by the hosts.

Quirky and comfortable and in great location to explore The Norfolk Broads.

Facilities all good, a small freezer would be a great advantage especially in summer months.

It was very clean on arrival and beautifully cool given the very hot weather. More spacious than expected. Lots of leaflets for days out. Good WiFi connection. Easy to find and enter The main bedroom was big and the bed comfortable. Good sized kitchen with plenty of plates, cups etc. Good to have Netflix.

The mattresses on the single beds were very worn and soft and not comfortable. Some slats in the bed base kept falling out and seemed very worn and too flexible. These beds are only really suitable for children. The pillows had seen better days too. There wasn't the usual info folder so we weren't sure about things like bin days or how to have a hot shower as it turned out there was a hot water tank which needed to be turned on in advance. I never did find the grey bin outside as suggested on the note on the windowsill. The Booking.com info showed a picture of a washing machine but there wasn't one. There wasn't anywhere to hang damp clothing after a day on the beach for it to dry or for towels once used. Lucky for me my daughter lives nearby so she was able to take care of that otherwise we'd have struggled.
